Book Review For Ready For Flynn By: K.L Shandwick

What this book is about–> At fifteen years old, Valerie Darsin, was loved and cherished by her brothers and boyfriend. Her small town world was happy and secure until a sudden betrayal forced her to flee. Returning home, Valerie found support in Flynn Docherty-a guy who left her with unfamiliar feelings when he disappeared from her life.

Valerie learned to move on, until a life-changing event brought Flynn back, but was she ready?

Has she ever been Ready For Flynn?

Meet The Characters,

Valerie: The stubborn, smart mouthed, fiery young woman.  Her heart knew what it wanted from the age of 15.

Meet Martin,

The second oldest brother and very protective of Val, his sweet, kind heart always tries to do what’s best for his little sister.

Meet Adam: The closest sibling to Vals age and still very protective of his sister.  His heart belongs to football.

Meet Kayden: Eldest brother to the siblings, laid back, loves his car susie, and also very protective of Val.

Meet Flynn: The charm, the rockstar, the one that captured Vals heart the moment she met him.

“You’re a stunningly gorgeous young lady that’s way out of my league. But—for some weird reason, you said yes to a date with me, and here I am. Ta Da! Yours for however long that may be. I’m not like my namesake. I’m not going to try to analyze it; I’m just going to live it for what it is. I never expected you to agree to date me. Not in a million years. And, at some point, your real guy will come and sweep you off your feet, and all I can hope for is that you remember me with warmth and affection. We’re sixteen and I’m not going to pretend that this is forever, but we can make this time a good memory, right?” -Ziggy ❤💕

With everything Val and Flynn go through your brought into their world, and easily craving more from them both.  I was given a free copy of this read from Readers Review Room for an honest review.  I loved every second of this read! It was an emotional rollercoaster but in a very good way!  The thrills and excitement left me craving more and more with every word I devoured.  The characters were so very easy to relate to.  From the three brothers being overly protective of their little sister, to the fiery little spunk Val grew into.  Lets not forget about the dreamy, dirty talking, charm of Flynn.  With everything these characters went through it took you along with it, bringing feelings to the surface you never knew you could feel for a book… I loved that you grew with Val, experienced her every thought and feeling as she slowly came to her 18th birthday.  Val and Flynn’s relationship was unique and only grew as time went.  Val had gone and been through a lot..  But Flynn was always there in the end offering her his heart.  They cried, I cried.  They hurt, I hurt.  I felt everything from laughter, joy, sorrow, hope, and love.  I absolutely loved this read!  I gave this book 5 stars.  Easily Recommend it to anyone who craves a good rockstar romance or romance in general!  Happy reading and I really do hope you pick this book up and give it a try!!

Book Review For Existence By: Abbi Glines

This book review is for Existence by: Abbi Glines .

What this book is about—> What happens when you’re stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn’t cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn’t let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he’s dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn’t realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he’s about to break all the rules.

Lets meet the characters

Meet Dank and Pagan.  Dank is death himself, mysterious, protector, and a seceret softy.  Pagan is the girl who can see ghosts, but when she sees and starts talking to Dank she can’t help but feel like he’s different somehow…  What it is she’s not sure of.  Until an accident happens and the truth begins to reveal itself slowly.

The cover is what drew me in the first place when finding this book on the kindle store for free!!  I mean look at those eyes!!! Beautiful!!! I gave this book 4 stars.  It kept me interested, but at times I felt and craved more.  I didn’t like that Pagan was made out to be so weak when it came to “needing” Dank in her life…  I hated that she was so whiny and I miss Dank this, I need Dank that, I can’t survive without Dank, oh poor me.  When she had a very good guy there for her the whole time “Leif” He was such a sweetheart towards her, and tried to be there for her as much as possible.  But overall even though Dank didn’t make as much appearance in this book as I hoped he would, the book ended on a cliffhanger…  So now I’m interested in knowing what happens next, and what will come of Leif and Pagan.

Book Review For The Velocity Series By: Molly McLain

This book Review is for both Fly and Fight of the Velocity series by: Molly McLain.

What this book is about—>  Meet Colton Wade, FMX rider…

I’m just a small town guy who caught a lucky break. Now I’m living the dream, on the brink of high-flying super-stardom. But something’s missing.

That something is Taylor.

She’s my best friend. The one who makes me want to push harder and higher. The one I fall back on when shit gets tough. The one I’d give it all up for.

I’d do anything to protect her. To make her dreams come true too.

But a single night changes everything.

And now the one she needs protection from…is me.

Lets meet Colton and Taylor.

These two have been through it all together.  The best of friends ever since they were little! Colton always knew he loved Taylor but was always afraid to take the risk in telling her, in fear of what it may do to their friendship.  Taylor has always been there for Col, and Col has always done the same for Taylor.  Providing a shoulder to cry on when times get hard, being an ear to talk to no matter the time, they were always there for each other.  These two had been through it all together.

what this book is about—> The story continues…

I trusted Colton with every bit of myself. I believed him when he promised he’d never hurt me. But he broke me…and now I watch him give another woman everything I thought would be mine.

I never saw this coming.

I don’t blame Taylor for the decisions she’s made, because I know the fault is all mine. I took her for granted. I broke her heart.

But she’s everything to me. If the guy holding her now thinks for one second I’ll lay down without a fight, he’s dead wrong.

Because I’m coming after what’s mine.

I loved both of these books the characters were very much relatable, they made you feel their pain, their hopes, and their dreams.  I came across fly as a free kindle book on bookbub, my interest being caught I decided to download it.  I was immediately engulfed into the story once I began reading it, keeping me on edge, and needing to know what happens next. When I should have been going to bed I found myself saying just one more page!  This series wounded my heart, surprised me, and angered me…  It was that well written!  You felt every emotion thrown at you with these series!  I loved that Col and Taylor were so likable and relatable.  Taylor was just your sweet, big dreams kind of girl.  She would do absolutely anything for anyone including her parents, dreams of going to college, and a heart that belonged to her best friend.  Col was your superstar, conquered his dreams, the best friend anyone would want, and a heart that always lead him home to Taylor. I loved these two books!  And am so very very excited for the third one to be coming out!  I have to know what happens to the other characters ASAP!!

This series I gave 5 stars too!  Its one of those books that will constantly have you going back and remembering little quotes and sayings.  The emotions you felt is very much refreshing.  I hope you all pick this series up!  Happy reading bookworms!!

Book Review For Dash And Lily’s Book Of Dares By: Rachel Cohn & David Leviathan

This book review is for Dash And Lily’s Book Of Dares By: Rachel Cohn & David Leviathan.

About this book —>    “I’ve left some clues for you.  If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

16-year-old Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on her favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. Dash, in a bad mood during the holidays, happens to be the first guy to pick up the notebook and rise to its challenges.

What follows is a whirlwind romance as Dash and Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City. But can their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions, or will their scavenger hunt end in a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

First off let me just talk about this beautiful cover first! I absolutely love this cover!  I had a bit of fun with modeling it.  The bright cover not only makes me happy, but makes me feel warm, and had me ready for the holidays.  With my obsession of the cover, lets get to all the warmth and fuzzy’s that were inside this book!  But first lets meet our lovely characters.

Meet Lily.  Your quirky, four eyed, captain of the soccer team, dog walker, and Christmas spirit girl.

Meet Dash.  Your hipster, snarly, smart, witty, obsessed with eating yogurt, love of quotes, book collector, charming blue eyed boy.

To think it had all started with finding that red Moleskine notebook placed upon the shelf of a bookstore.  Curiosity had gotten the best of Dash so little did he know by taking a peek inside its pages an adventure of self discovery, love, and friendship would soon whisk him away to meet Lily.

As Dash and Lily play with danger and courageously agree to each others dares, whisking them all over New York City.  You’ll find that on their adventures you not only learn a bit about them, but you’ll fall in love with them even more.

This was not only a fun holiday read, but also a charming fairy tale set at its own pace and the paint to the picture of our first kiss, our hopes, our dreams, and allowing love to unfold with you yourself making that first step happen.  I loved this book!  It had kept me up, glued, and eager to find out where Dash and Lily’s adventures would lead to next.  I loved this book so much and the messages it sent you through the red moleskine notebook, it had made me want go out and purchase my own red notebook and go about my own dares.  Want to! But haven’t.  Not yet at least!  The openness that these two share throughout the notebook breaks your heart at times, but you get to feel what they were feeling, needing a friend, someone to talk too, and building something the heart knew was tender but warm.  dash_and_lilys_book_of_dares_by_kat5433-d5k9gr2

Favorite quotes…

  • “You think fairy tales are only for girls? Here’s a hint – ask yourself who wrote them. I assure you, it wasn’t just the women. It’s the great male fantasy – all it takes is one dance to know that she’s the one. All it takes is the sound of her song from the tower, or a look at her sleeping face. And right away you know – this is the girl in your head, sleeping or dancing or singing in front of you. Yes, girls want their princes, but boys want their princesses just as much. And they don’t want a very long courtships. They want to know immediately.”
  • “The important people in our lives leave imprints. They may stay or go in the physical realm, but they are always there in your heart, because they helped form your heart. There’s no getting over that.”
  • “I was attempting to write the story of my life. It wasn’t so much about plot. It was much more about character.”
  • “You want meaning? Well, the meanings are out there. We’re just so damn good at reading them wrong.”
  • “I mean, what if love isn’t a yes-or-no question? It’s not either you’re in love or you’re not. I mean, aren’t there different levels? And maybe these things, like words and expectations and whatever, don’t go on top of the love. Maybe it’s like a map, and they all have their own place, and then when you see it from the sky – whoa.”
  • “I mean, like most guys, you carry around this girl in your head, who is exactly who you want her to be. The person you think you will love the most. And every girl you are with gets measured against this girl in your head.”
  • “There are just lots of possibilities in the world…I need to keep my mind open for what could happen and not decide that the world is hopeless if what I want to happen doesn’t happen. Because something else great might happen in between.”
  • “I’m told there’s no going back. So I’m choosing forward.”
  • “You have to trust the words. They do not create anything more than themselves.”
  • “In a field, I am the absence of field. In a crowd, I am the absence of crowd. In a dream, I am the absence of dream. But I don’t want to live as an absence. I move to keep things whole. Because sometimes I feel drunk on positivity. Sometimes I feel amazement at the tangle of words and lives, and I want to be a part of that tangle. “Game over,” you say, and I don’t know which I take more exception to- the fact that you say that it’s over, or the fact that you say it’s a game. It’s only over when one of us keeps the notebook for good. It’s only a game if there is an absence of meaning. And we’ve already gone too far for that.”
  • “We are reading the story of our lives. As though we were in it, As though we had written it.”

Everything about this book lured me in, from the cover, to Dash’s snarlyness, and Lily’s unremarkable hope this book had me smiling and laughing.  If you want a cute, fun, quirky, holiday romance, and a  young adult read this book is for you!!  I gave this book five stars!!  I’m still smiling from the ending it was that perfect!

Read this book! If you dare?

                           Go on I dare you.

Book Review For Her Mad Hatter By: Marie Hall

This book review is for Her mad Hatter By: Marie Hall.                                                                                             hatter

I have always loved Hatter, so when I came across this book for free on the kindle store I knew right away it was a must read!

What this book is about —>Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter’s Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate–and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys–throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.

The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland–and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother’s mating–or fight for Alice. large

In this retelling of Wonderland Hatter is loosing the battle inside his head and wonderland is beginning to not be so wonderful.  Time is ticking for Hatter and the only way he himself can be saved is by finding the right perfect Alice.

Everything about this book had attracted me to it upon finding it. Hatter and Alice as a couple!? Cupcakes! Wonderland! Finally a fandom  of Hatter as a couple had finally surfaced! And it was done correctly.  The thought of Hatter needing a Alice to keep his world perfectly upright was a heartwarming tale.

This read will have you up all night needing to know what happens next. This is a short read only 137 pages, but I promise you will crave more!  Her Mad Hatter has everything a good romance needs without all the fluff and unnecessary overwhelming rated R scenes.  It has just enough cute, curiosity, treats, quark, craziness of wonderland, all the characters you do very much remember, and heartbreak a romance needs.  My heart is still torn from what Alice and Hatter both had gone through before finding each other.  If you want a quick cute read this is definitely your book! Specially if you love Hatter just as much as I do!  I gave this book a five star rating because I loved it so much! It still has me looking back on from time to time and remembering certain details Hall had written. Five stars from me! *****

Time is ticking will you enter Hatters world?

Book review for Demon Kissed by: H.M. Ward

This book review is on Demon Kissed By: H.M. Ward.  Before I get into detail about this book, let’s meet the characters!

Meet Ivy Taylor. Your average teenage girl trying to make it through her days as smoothly as possible, with the loss of her sister…  She has had a very hard time trusting and allowing herself to open up.

Meet Shannon. Ivy’s best friend. She’s smart, quick, and loves hunting through old attics as much as Ivy does.

Meet Eric. older then time itself, willing to help Ivy at all cost’s, and happens to be the best of his own kind.

Meet Collin.  Ivy’s best friend, the typical bad boy, and will do absolutely anything to protect Ivy.

It all started with a kiss.

But not your cute adorable kind of kiss…  This kiss was meant to take your soul.  The Valefar boy tricked Ivy Taylor into kissing him, but he took much more than a kiss – he stole her soul and left her within inches of death.”-Demon Kissed.

With only part of her soul intact, Ivy is whooshed into a world she never would have known existed.  Being part Martis and Valefar.  An angel and a demon. She wears the purple mark, with both blood running through her body.  She learns who to seek trust in, and who wants her dead.  She’s afraid for the remaining part of her soul, and who had changed her in the first place will come after her again.  With Eric, Collin and Shannon at her side she learns that her destiny could very well be the end of her world, or just the very start.  But what do you do when you have a demon boy that will do just about anything for you, just to keep you alive…  Even though it’s forbidden?  Also unheard of.  Ivy not only has to learn who to trust, but she has to accept what she is, and what her calling is…  Only she can decide if she chooses darkness, or a light that’s slowly starting to strengthen her bond and her soul to the demon boy who’s tied to stealing her soul.

“Your passion will keep you alive Ivy Taylor, but it will also risk your soul. It dictates what you do, how you live, and with whom you lay your loyalties. Oh child. You have so much good in you, and so much darkness too..”

Timber Wolves Trilogy Book Review By: Tammy Blackwell

Surprise Halloween Book review!  My second time reading this series!

This series includes Destiny Binds #1, Time Mends #2, Fate Succumbs #3, At First Sight #3.5, and All We See And Seem #3.6

Meet Scout “Harper Lee Scout Donovan” the sarcastic, strong, unique heroin.

Meet Talley Matthew’s , Scout’s best friend, quiet, nice and a seer.

Meet Jace Donovan, Scout’s “Twin Brother” Charmer, protective, and a carefree attitude.  Being a coyote has its perks.

Meet Charlie Hagan, Jace’s best friend “cousin” gentle, caring, protective, and a down to earth coyote shifter.

Meet Toby  alpha male of the Hagan pack “Coyote Shifters” strong, logical thinker, and very protective of his own, also Charlie’s older brother.

Meet Alex Cole a wolf shifter, new to town, charmer, peacemaker, and has foreseen Scout in his dreams.

Meet Liam Cole, a wolf shifter destined to be an alpha, intimidating, dominant, and protective.

Scout is not your average girl, with pail skin, white hair that looks almost silver, and pail grey blue eyes she’s looked as a freak and not normal.  Little does everyone know that these characteristics are actually an important key as to what she’ll become later on in the books.  Alex and Liam Cole are new to town, attempting to make their way to Nashville, but with a little car trouble they both landed in Timber, Kentucky.  Knowing that this particular territory belonged to the Hagan pack, Liam had only wanted to stay long enough to fix their run down truck to quickly get out of the territory and move from there.  But plans soon changed once they came across Scout and Jase out and about along the strip. Liam knew right away what Jace was, but smelling Scout, had him questioning what she was, and stirred his inner wolf, needing to protect her the best he could.  Warning’s had gone out to both Alex and Liam to stay away from Hagan property “Scout.” Threats weren’t going to keep Alex away for long, as Scout became closer and closer to him.

Throughout each book you will go through a roller coaster of emotion’s crying, yipping with joy, and feeling everyone’s bond grow for each other.  Tammy Blackwell had broke my heart many times throughout the book, as I felt my world crumble before me with certain deaths bringing me to question what was to come? How could she do this!? And Will this make or break Scout?  Throughout this series you will see a certain bond build stronger through every page, with certain characters, they were destined we could feel it.  With hope and love finding their way to them, and secrets being spilled a new future for the Donovan’s, Cole’s and the Hagan’s are building. With Shifters, seers, love, pain, and the little funny moments this series brings you will be looking back on it still months and months later.

I loved this series so much! And I loved each cover even more! Being unique, different, pretty, and eye catching.  Plus being a shifter series of course I’m going to be drawn to it!! I finished it within weeks, keeping me hooked, needing to know what will come of each character, and bringing so much feeling that I still go back and think about the sad parts, happy parts, and silly parts.  Tammy Blackwell did such a marvelous job with these characters I was pulled to each and everyone of them, feeling their feelings, seeing what they were seeing, and needing to have closer with each of them as the series came to an end.  I cried when I finished this series!! It will definitely be a shifter series I will go back to time and time again.  Liam, Alex and Scout have my heart and always will. Five stars for the whole series!  If you love shifters as much as I do, and want romance, thriller, and a roller coaster of feelings this series is definitely for you! Hope you all check it out and happy reading to you!
